1 Pay your Car License Online

This is super convenient, especially if you hate standing in queues!
 I'll be posting a tutorial on how to do this soon as I will have to pay our car license this month!

2 Check the Weather

You can do this via a google search, eg. google "Cape Town weather" or "Observatory weather".

3 Get notifications of your library book due dates!

This is really a life saver! I always seem to forget when my books are due and end up with a fine, but now I get a reminder when my books need to go in! Goodbye fines! 🙂 (All you need to do is update your email address details at your nearest library!) You can also renew your library books if you can't make it in time.

4 Submit your IRP5 via SARS efiling

I should be doing this before November so I will be posting a tutorial about this too! You can register on SARS efiling by following this tutorial.

5 Get up to the minute news on Metrorail trains

I think most people have experienced waiting on the train station and not knowing when the next train is coming or if it is coming at all! Well now you don't have to endure that kind of torture anymore because Metrorail has a twitter account dedicated to keeping us commuters informed! +1 to Metrorail & thanks to Jerome Cornelius for pointing this one out to me! 🙂 (Read Jerome's article on Metrorail for a laugh!)

6 Report Faults to your Local Municipality

(Online form is apparently only available in the Western Cape?)

Have you ever seen a broken robot, a pothole, a road sign that has been knocked over, grafitti or anything else that should be repaired or cleaned up, but you can't do anything about it? Me too!, but I stumbled across the Cape Town municipality website recently where you can report these faults and they will fix it. I've reported one already and they have an awesome response time! Will show you how soon! 😀
